AsHeroesDie is a brutal hardcore band with metal influences from the reaches of northern Michigan. The hardcore scene started here in Alpena a little over three years ago and with the debut of the first Alpena harcore band, Ingrain, everything picked up from there. Every show we see the same faces and then there's always a couple new faces just having fun and going off. It's fucking awesome. It shows that the scene around here is really growing.
AsHeroesDie pretty much has all the same members in it that were in Ingrain but with new bocal talents and minus the bass player. The music structure had progressed and its not just chugga-chugga/mosh as Ingrain showed to be. There's alot more technicality involved in the song writing.

As far as lyrics go we hit on all different topics. The hate that you carry on your shoulders from a person that you thought loved you at one time but showed you that they really didn't care, to apocolyptic views in the world, and pain you have inside from the stuggles of each day. We consider ourselves a straight up hardcore band. And we try to do as much as we can for the scene if it be playing and putting out music, or doing a zine which myself (Nic) and our guitarist Nate are doing rite now. Dust ta Dust.
Alpena hardcore shows to have a promising future ahead and we plan on booking many shows with many different bands. The kids here are crazy and go fucking nuts when bands come through.
